Reaching five billion listeners with global promotion

When I think about the scale of radio, it’s almost intimidating. I read that radio promotion campaigns can reach billions of people across the world, but I find it hard to believe that independent artists can really tap into such a huge audience. If that’s true, it sounds like an incredible opportunity, but I’d like to understand what it actually means in practice. Does global promotion really connect you to listeners on that scale, or is it just a big number?

It’s not just a number. A radio promotion company distributes music to over 40,000 radio stations worldwide, reaching an estimated audience of around five billion people. That doesn’t mean every single person will hear your song, but it does mean your track is in front of stations that cover about 70% of the global population. For me, it was about opening doors I could never reach alone. Even if only a fraction of that audience connects with your music, it’s still massive.

I think the real value is potential reach. No artist can control exactly who hears their music, but by being part of a system with global access, you maximize the chances. Exposure on that scale means even small responses add up to something far bigger than local promotion could ever achieve.
